Being Found and Discovered Trumps a New Web Site

Most businesses that get a new web site do not need a new web site. We see this time and again, even more so with the popularity of WordPress, which has allowed hucksters with little design background to become alleged graphic designers and web site developers. Not really Jasper.

Building a new web site is a complete pain. The design and layout process require lot’s of consensus building and other matters to address between the client and the designer, graphics person and copywriter. Budgets, delays and an array of other setbacks cause project creep, taking months and much money to get through.

Several thousands of dollars later you are no further ahead. Yet, the first thing out of many consultants mouth to the business owner or client is you need a new web site. Or the new Marketing Director needs to pierce their spot and create something to do for the first six months by “revamping” your digital presentations with “a new web site” Nope, don’t let them do it.

These nuts are building new web site for their purposes, not yours, nor your best interest, either because they don’t know what else to do or do not have the technical ability to tweak your site. The reality is most web sites are just fine when optimized, which is minor in comparison to a new site. The colors are OK, the logo is OK and the pictures are OK.

Your business needs to be found more often and in more places in order to sell more stuff. Save yourself much aggravation, time and money; Just Say No to a new web site.
