Analytics on Your Dashboard: Which Posts are Driving Your Traffic?

So you’ve started a blog to increase your product awareness and drive some traffic to your site. How do you know if it’s working? Better yet, which articles are bringing readers to your site? Well hopefully you are using Google Analytics, but if you’re like me, you don’t always check your reports. I find that the more convenient it is to check my analytics, the more likely I am to do so.

In sight. In mind. Ingenius.

Having the traffic numbers in plain site on your WordPress dashboard is a marvelous feature, and there are a few plugins that make this easy to set up. First there are plugins that install Google Analytics on your WordPress site, and there are other plugins which display the data on your dashboard. It just so happens there is one plugin that handles both- Web Ninja.

After you have created your analytics account, using Web Ninja to install the code it on your WordPress site is as easy as logging in to Google.  No need to edit your header files.  The best part is the dashboard displaywith the ability to see your traffic stats for the last 15, 30, 60, or 90 day windows.

What are your most popular posts?

To see a pageview and unique visitor rundown of individual posts and pages, simply go to the page or post listing on your dashboard.  This will give you invaluable information on the kinds of articles your readers respond to, so that you may write accordingly.
