Becoming a Sherpa,

Just wanted to post here that I have joined forces with the good folks at NCI, the parent company behind the new Community Sherpa Product and Apartment Finder, as well as several other magazines.

I have been passionately interested in the Turn Key Social Media Solution that the Sherpa Product represents that Dan McCarthy and his group launched, since I first first posted about it back in June. A dialog evolved with Dan and after visiting NCI’s headquarters and plant in Atlanta, and also visiting their New York offices, I became even more excited about the Sherpa Product and teaming up with the folks producing it. They have the resources, and more over the courage to pull off a Game Changing Endeavor that may well reshape how prospects experience renting apartments.

The Social Media Space is changing and evolving, and the floor has started to shift. More and more folks are further understanding the potential of Self Publishing and Shared Content. We have been yapping about the benefit of blogging and Social Media Marketing, and the effect that the Urbane Life Blog has had on our numbers at Urbane Apartments for some time now. The Direction of Marketing Has Changed

I wanted to be a part of something bigger, and actively participate in helping solve the the inevitable challenges of scale. It is an exciting time and I look forward to helping to get behind the Sherpa Product.

I will still be involved with Urbane Apartments, and will continue to test and experiment with new marketing ideas and on line branding at the Urbane Lab (A Significant Experiment is well underway we will be reporting on soon), as well as playing on a larger field, and Becoming a Sherpa.
